Iqbal Bano passes away 1935-2009

Renowned Pakistani singer Iqbal Bano has passed away. She died in Lahore on Tuesday evening.

She was the daughter of the legendary poet faiz and she is known more for singing ghazals, particularly those of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, She was also awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Pride of Performance) medal in 1974.

She was one of the greatest means of support and inspiration. She will be remembered by everyone

Mehmood adds that ‘people like her didn’t sing out of compulsion, they sang because of a true passion for the arts.’ He recalls how, seven months ago, when she wasn’t keeping in good health, Bano declined to perform because she could not do justice to her voice. ‘She was a very good judge and would not settle for anything less than brilliance.’

She was a great personality and a great singer person and a woman.

Hangu attack

HANGU: Twenty people were killed including 18 security personnel and others injured in a suicide attack at a security check post here on Saturday.
DSP of Hangu,(Fareed Khan) confirmed 20 deaths in the deadly attack including 18 security men and two civilians.The blast occurred exactly at a time when a convoy of security forces was passing from the spot. This resulted in a greater loss of life while 11 vehicles were also destroyed in the attack.Fifteen persons injured including five police personnel. SHO Doaba Aimal Khan was among the injured.The bodies and injured have been shifted to CMH Tal and CMH Kohat.

At least 20 people have been killed and 25 injured when gunmen attack police training center in Manawan near Wagah border on Monday march 30th 2009.Attackers took their positions inside police training center and they were wearing police uniforms and carrying backpacks and guns.There were about 850 trainee policemen were present within at the facility.It was even heard that the head of Pakistani Local Taliban, Baitullah Mehsud, on Tuesday took responsibility for an attack on Manawa police academy in Lahore.
What ever happend was worse with the pakistan's police force.Many died and their families were mourning over their dead bodies.It was a shock for all of us many died many were wounded.Whatever happend was worse and i have all my sympothy with the dead and alive.

April 3rd 2009 three men beat a girl in swat who was held down by two different men, and her face was rubbed in the dirt. A third man in a black turban flogs her lower back more than 30 times in a minute and a half, and she was screaming out in pain.According to the Taliban she had a physical relationship with a man and she kept him in her house.

According to me this was not right. maybe this video was fake and even if it was true this shoul not come on air as she was a girl who was harshly beat by men and this video must not be shown to the public keeping in mind that the person who was beaten was a young girl who was 16 or 17 years old. Im against this news as a girls reputation is hurt.
